Plan Your Trip

Once you reach Washington Island you will find a variety of activities await you.

You can tour the five mile long, four and one-half mile wide Island aboard the VIKING TRAIN, a two-hour long narrated tram tour. Your driver will present Washington Island – explaining a bit of the history – and guide you through the present community and its landmarks. The VIKING TRAIN tour will stop “uptown,” visit School House Beach, the Stavekirke (Norwegian Church), and the Farm Museum. During your “uptown” stop you will see the “Den Norske Grenda” – Norwegian Island Village development, where you will find a variety of gifts, souvenirs, and their famous fudge.

Bike & Moped Rentals

Multi-speed bicycles and moped rentals are available at the Island dock. Moped drivers must be 21, with a valid drivers license. Helmets are provided as are detailed road maps to follow. www.anniesislandmopeds.com

ATV, UTV & Electric Bike Rentals

Across the street from the dock, you can rent ATVs, UTVs, and electric bikes, at Island Adventure Company. www.islandadventurecompany.com
